The internationally-acclaimed Whitworth Wind Symphony will present “Empires,” featuring Spokane Symphony principal percussionist Leigh Wilson in a performance of Michael Daugherty’s high-octane timpani concerto, Raise the Roof. The program will also include William Schuman’s classic George Washington Bridge and Ottorino Respighi’s evocative Roman Festivals.
