Big Bad Bitchin Band

My name is Dr. Lon Madsen, and two passions have shaped my life: medicine and music.

For more than 30 years, my wife Carolyn and I have proudly served the Spokane community through family medicine. Before becoming a physician, I spent years in the music industry as an orchestrator in Los Angeles and as a staff arranger for Columbia Pictures Publications.

Now, while continuing my medical practice, I’ve returned to composing and arranging music for a very special nonprofit concert event. This original collection blends contemporary jazz, jazz rock, jazz funk, smooth jazz, and moving ballads, brought to life by an incredible all-star lineup of musicians from Spokane, Seattle, and Salt Lake City.

On August 28, the BIG BAD BITCHIN BAND will light up the historic Bing Crosby Theater for an electrifying night of music, energy, and community.

Even more meaningful, every net dollar raised will support 2nd Harvest’s BITE2GO program — helping provide meals for children in need throughout our region.
